Supported devices, browsers and what you need
Which iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Android versions the app needs, which browsers the website supports, and what needs an internet connection.
On this page
Check this page if you wonder whether Branham Sermons will run on your device. The app is for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows; the website works in a current browser on any device.
Devices and browsers
| Device | What it needs |
|---|---|
| iPhone | iOS 16.4 or later |
| iPad | iPadOS 16.4 or later |
| Mac | A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 13.4 or later; it runs the iPad app |
| Android | Android 7.0 or later, from Google Play |
| Windows | Windows 10 version 2004 or later, from the Microsoft Store |
| Website | A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on a computer, a tablet or a phone |
The App Store or Google Play page shows what the device you are using needs. If yours is too old for the app, the website is the way in: keep its browser up to date.
Screen sizes and languages
- Phone: a window narrower than 640 pixels shows one column. In the app the tabs sit at the bottom; on the website the menu is at the top right.
- Tablet: from 640 pixels wide, a strip of icons appears at the right edge, and in the app lists and panels open beside the page. An iPad can be held either way up.
- Computer: from 1,024 pixels wide, the sidebar shows its names, and on the website panels such as the index sit beside the sermon instead of covering it.
- The app follows the size of its window, not the device: an iPad window made narrow shows the narrower layout.
The website’s screens are in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The app’s are in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and Chinese comes with its next version. Each follows your browser’s or your device’s language when it offers that language, and shows English otherwise. Change it in Settings: Site language on the website, Languages in the app.
Internet and storage
The app and the website need a connection to ask, to search inside the sermons, to stream recordings and to keep your account in step. Without one they read what is on the device: see Read sermons without a connection.
- The offline library takes between 80 and 125 MB on the device, depending on the language. The app and the website show the exact size before it starts.
- In the app, a downloaded recording takes room of its own. Downloads, in Settings, shows the total and removes any recording.
Permissions the app may ask for
The app asks only when you use the feature that needs it, and you can say no. Notifications explains each reminder.
| Permission | When it is asked | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | When you switch on a reminder: a plan’s, Quote of the day or Evening reminder | To remind you at the hour you chose |
| Camera | When you choose to take a photo for your account | Only to take that photo |
| Photos | When you choose a picture for your account | Only to choose one for your account |
The app does not ask for your location, your contacts or the microphone.

iOS 16.4 or later on an iPhone, iPadOS 16.4 or later on an iPad, and macOS 13.4 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.
