Your streak, activity and badges
See your day streak, the days you were active, and the badges you earn for asking, highlighting, writing notes, starring sermons, listening and following plans.
On this page
Your day streak and your badges show how you use the sermons. The streak counts the days you came back; badges mark what you have done, from a first time to many.
The day streak
The lightning with a number at the top of Home is your day streak. Tap it to see your best run, your plan streak, the weeks in a row, the days you were active this year and this week.
A day counts as soon as you open the app or the website. Asking a question, highlighting a passage, writing a note on one, starring a sermon and listening to a recording count too. The streak holds until a whole day passes without any of these.
The cards on You
At the top of You, four cards sum up your activity.
- Day streak: your days in a row, and your best.
- Days active in the year: how many days this year you did something.
- Questions asked: your questions and conversations; tap it to open Ask.
- Badges: your latest badges; tap it for the badges page.
Badges
There are eight kinds of badge, each with five steps: a first one, then more at set counts.
| Badge | What counts | Earned at |
|---|---|---|
| Questions asked | Each question answered, in any conversation. | 1, 25, 100, 400, 1000 |
| Highlights | Each passage you highlight. | 1, 25, 100, 400, 1000 |
| Notes | Each note you write on a passage. | 1, 10, 50, 150, 400 |
| Favorites | Each sermon you star. | 1, 10, 50, 150, 300 |
| Recordings heard | Each recording you listen to for five minutes or more. | 1, 10, 50, 150, 365 |
| Plan days | Each day of a reading plan you mark as read. | 1, 10, 50, 150, 365 |
| Plans finished | Each reading plan you finish. | 1, 3, 6, 10, 15 |
| Active days | Each day you ask, highlight, write a note, star a sermon or listen. | 3, 30, 100, 365, 1000 |
Open the badges page from the Badges card on You. Each kind is a card with its five steps in a row: the ones you have earned are in colour, with their day, and the next has a dashed ring and a line saying what it needs, such as Ask 12 more questions.
On Home, the bell lists each badge as it comes, newest first, with its day, and a small dot marks the ones you have not seen. The Badges card lower on Home shows your newest badge, or else the next one within reach.
Why did my streak go back to zero?
A whole day passed without you opening the app or the website, or doing any of the things that count. Your best run stays on the card.
Why is my streak different on my phone and my computer?
Each device counts the days you open it, so a day you spent on one device may not show on the other. Questions, highlights, notes, stars and listening follow your account, so they count on every device.
Why do I have no badges?
Badges come with an account whose address is confirmed. Once you are signed in, what your account already holds is counted.
Why is a badge dated before I noticed it?
A badge carries the day you reached the step, not the day you first saw it. Your 25th highlight earned 25 highlights on the day you made it.
Does following a plan earn badges?
Yes. Each day of a plan you mark as read counts toward Plan days, and each plan you finish toward Plans finished. See Follow a plan.
