Catch up when you fall behind
See how many days you have missed, move the plan forward with Catch me up, or turn missed days off so the plan simply opens on your next reading.
On this page
When you fall behind, the pill beside the day tells you how many days you have missed. You can read them at your own pace, move the whole plan forward with Catch me up, or turn the dates off.
See what you missed
The pill reads, for example, 3 days missed. Tap it to open the plan’s settings, where Missed days lists each one; tap a day to open it on the plan’s page. Missed days are also marked in the strip and in the calendar.
Read a missed day late and it is marked read and leaves the list. Your streak counts the day you read it.
Move the plan forward
Catch me up moves the start and end dates forward so that the first day you have not read becomes today. What you have read stays read, and each day keeps its reading: only the dates move.
- Tap the pill, or the round Settings button at the top of the plan’s page.
- Tap Catch me up. It shows only while you have missed days.
- Read the question: it says which day becomes today and the date the plan now ends.
- Tap Catch up to confirm, or Cancel.
The plan then opens on that day, and the pill says On track.
When the plan offers help
After three missed days, a card on the plan’s page offers a way on. If you have read in the last week, it acknowledges your effort and offers Catch me up.
A week or more behind, or a few days with nothing read, it offers less to read each day instead: the shorter times are listed, one already chosen from how much you have kept up. Change my pace carries the plan on from today at that time, keeping your place. Not now hides the card for a week on that device.
Turn missed days off
If dates are not for you, switch on Don’t tell me about missed days in the settings. The plan then loses its calendar, its pill and its end date, and simply opens on your next reading, whenever that is. Switch it off to bring the dates back.
What does Catch me up change?
Only the dates. Your progress, your streak and the reading of each day stay as they are.
Does the plan get longer?
It ends later by the number of days it was moved. The days themselves are the same.
Why is there no Catch me up button?
It shows only when you have missed days. It is also hidden if Don’t tell me about missed days is on.
Can I get the calendar back?
Yes. Switch off Don’t tell me about missed days in the plan’s settings.
